Principle 1
GOD'S PURPOSE FOR OUR LIFE
GOD, THE CREATOR AND LORD OF THE UNIVERSE, LOVES US AND WANTS TO BLESS OUR LIVES THROUGH FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM.
We read in the
TOWRAH Deuteronomy 7:9 "Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God Who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those
who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations."
ZABUR Psalm 5:12 "For You bless the righteous, 0 Lord; You cover him with favor as with a shield.”
ENJEEL Luke 1:50 "And His mercy is on those who fear Him from generation to generation.”
QUR'AN Battlements 7:96 "Had the people of the cities believed and been god-fearing, We would have opened upon them blessings from heaven and earth."
The testimony of all the Holy Writings is that God cares about the creatures He created. Through the prophets and apostles, He has made known His concern for man and his desire to lead us into a life of spiritual riches. These riches include inner peace, security, joy, purpose, strength and guidance. All these blessings are found in a close relationship with God.

MAN'S GREATEST PROBLEM
SIN SEPARATES MAN FROM GOD'S FELLOWSHIP AND BLESSINGS.
We read in the
TOWRAH Isaiah 59:2 "But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, so that He does not hear."
ZABUR Psalm 66:18 "If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened."

QUR'AN Cow 2:81 "Whoso earns evil, and is encompassed by his transgression - those are the inhabitants of the fire; there they shall dwell forever.”
Man was created to have constant fellowship with God but stubbornly chose to separate himself from that fellowship and to go his own independent way. This self-will (expressed by active rebellion or passive indifference toward-God) is called in the Holy Scriptures:
“sin – disobedience - breaking God's law.”

PRINCIPLE 3
MAN'S HELPLESSNESS
HUMAN EFFORTS CANNOT SOLVE MAN'S PROBLEM. HE MUST LOOK TO GOD FOR THE SOLUTION.
read in the
TOWRAH Proverbs 14:12 "There is a way which seems right to a man, but 1s end is the way to death."
ZABUR Psalm 125:5 "But those who turn aside upon their crooked ways the Lord will lead away with evildoers!"
INJEEL Titus 3:5 "He saved us, not because of deeds done by us in righteousness, but in virtue of His own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirit."
QUR'AN Cattle 6:69 Remind hereby, lest a soul should be given to destruction for what it has earned; apart from God, it has no protector and no intercessor; though it offer any equivalent, it shall not be taken from it."
Man's plan is to remove his own sin by his own "self-righteousness" (i.e. to outweigh man’s bad deeds by "good" deeds: religious works, human philosophies, and political concerns). Man forgets that his self-righteousness, being the outcome of his unclean life, is also unclean. In the eyes of Holy God, his self-righteousness is as unclean as "filthy rags," in the TOWRAH - Isaiah 64:6.

Our good deeds Our bad deeds
Harried and miserable by his sinful living, a man decided to take the long walk to consult a pious friend. When he arrived, he immediately explained that guilt, frustration and fear had been tormenting him day and night. He asked his friend what good works he should do to be relieved of these feelings and find peace of mind, and happiness of heart.
Before giving an answer, the friend ordered his servant to bring a nice cold drink for his exhausted friend. The servant soon returned with the drink, but the host, before offering it to his friend, added a large drop of ink, which blackened the drink. The man asked, “What are you doing?” “Just answering your question,” came the reply. “You refuse to accept this drink because I spoiled it with a drop of ink. Yet you want a pure and holy God to accept your good deeds, when you have defiled them with the filthy sins of your heart and mind.”
The man understood the lesson and came to God with a contrite heart, asking for His pardon and cleansing .

HOW IS THIS ACCOMPLISHED? PRINCIPLE 4
PRINCIPLE 4
GOD UNFOLDS HIS PLAN
SINCE MAN IS HELPLESS, GOD HAS GRACIOUSLY PROVIDED A RANSOM FOR HIM.
We read in the - -
TOWRAH Isaiah 19:20 "When they cry to the Lord because of oppressors He will send them a saviour, and will defend and deliver them."
ZABUR Psalm 49:7,8 "Truly no man can ransom himself, or give to Cod the price of his life, for the ransom of his life is costly, and can never suffice."
INJEEL Ephesians 2:8,9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God, not because of works, lest any man should boast."
QUR'AN Rangers 37:107 "And We (God) ransomed him (the son of Abraham, God's friend) with a mighty sacrifice."
Since God is the only one able to provide for man's ransom, man must look to God in order be saved. Looking to God in this way is what the Holy Scripture calls faith.
The Judge and his Friend
A man was bought into court for having stolen some money from a certain company. As the judge asked him the usual questions he found out that this man was one of his best old friends, and had spent several years with him as a classmate. This discovery put the judge in a hard position. Since he was a friend of the accused he was unable to decide between the tenderness of his heart toward him or to condemn him to the imprisonment he deserved, and as a just judge he could not set him free as this would be against the law and unacceptable to the accusing party. After deep reflection about what he should do, a solution appeared to him to be the course. He, himself, paid the debt from his own money and was consequently able to free his friend,
who accepted his gift and was grateful to him the rest of his life. This is a picture of what God did when he ransomed us from our sinful life with His Mighty Sacrifice.
Have we really accepted His Gift and are we really grateful to Him?
The following sayings show that God is the provider of man's ransom and salvation:
QUR’AN Story 28:16 "He (Moses) said, ‘My Lord,. I have wronged myself. Forgive me.’ So God forgave him, for He is the All-forgiving, the All-compassionate."
Cow 2:38 "There shall come to you guidance from Me (said God), and whoever follows My guidance, no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow."
Cattle 6:69 "Nothing of their account falls upon those that are god-fearing; but a reminding; haply they will be god-fearing."
ZABUR Psalm34:22 "The Lord redeems the life of ills servants; none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned."
Psalm 31:5 "Into. Your hand I commit my spirit;. You have redeemed me, 0 Lord, faithful God."
Psalm 56:13 "You have delivered...mY feet from falling, that I may walk before God In the light of life."
Psalm 107:6,7 "Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress He led them by a straight way."
TOWRAH Genesis 22:13 "And Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son."
Exodus 12:13 "The blood shall be a sign for you, upon the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and no plague shall fall upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt."
Leviticus 17:11 "For it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life."
Isaiah 63:8 "For He said 'Surely they are My people, sons who will not deal falsely and He became their Savior."
INJEEL Matthew 26:28 "For this is the blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."
Romans 3:23-25 "Since all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, they are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus, Whom God put forward as an expiation by His blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in His divine forbearance He had passed over former sins."
Colossians 1:13, 14 “He has delivered us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in Whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
1 Peter 1:18,19 "You know that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your fathers, not with perishable things...but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot."
HOW HAS GOD PROVIDED THIS RANSOM? PRINCIPLE 5
PRINCIPLE 5
GOD'S PROVISION IS A PERSON
THE RANSOM IS A DIVINE PERSON, CHRIST, ANOINTED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT AND CALLED THE WORD OF GOD.
We read in the:
TOWRAH Isaiah 61:1 About Christ: "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good tidings to the afflicted...to proclaim liberty to the captives."
ZABUR Psalm 107:20 “He sent forth His word, and healed then, and delivered them from destruction.”
INJEEL John 1:1, 14 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld His glory.”
QUR'AN House of Imran 3:45 “When the angels said, 'Mary, God gives you good tidings of a Word from Him whose name is Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary; high honored shall He be in this world and the next, near stationed to God.”
This ransom and redemption are not the fruit of man's rituals or philosophy, neither is salvation the result of his own efforts. Had not God in His love come to the rescue of man, and saved him from his sins, man's state would have been desperate indeed.
AN INTRICATE QUESTION AND A WISE ANSWER
Someone asked a friend of his the following puzzling question: “Who do you think existed
first: God, His Spirit, or His Word?”
His friend answered immediately, "Certainly God, as nothing could have existed before Him." The man then said, "If God was at any time without Spirit or Word, which means a dead or a dumb God, hence an imperfect God, how can He be God at all?"
His friend thought for a long time about what he had heard and then said, “You are right, my friend; God cannot be dead, without Spirit, or dumb, without Word, at any time, for in His life and perfection are personified…. God's Spirit and Word,” he added, “were with Him from the very beginning, and will remain, without interruption, till the very end. God, I can see now, cannot be partitioned into God, Word, and Spirit. He is ONE God.”
And you, dear reader, what is your answer to this vital question?
We read about the Word and Spirit in the:
QUR'AN Cow 2:87 "We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear signs., and confirmed him with the Holy Spirit."
TOWRAH Micah 3:8 "But as for me. I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin."
ZABUR Psalm 139:7 "Whither shall I go from Your Spirit? Or whither shall I flee from Your presence?"
INJEEL Revelation 19:13 "He is clad in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which He is called s the Word of God."
IS CHRIST THE SON OF GOD?
The Bible and the Qur'an speak about three kinds of sonship:
(1) PHYSICAL SONSHIP, as in John 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh," and Sincere Religion 112:1-3 "Say, 'He is God, One, God, the Everlasting refuge, who has not begotten and has not been begotten.'" Both the Qur'an and the Bible agree that physically (in his body) Christ was Mary's son.
(2) SYMBOLIC SONSHIP, as in Psalm 89:22 "The son of wickedness" Luke 16:8 “The sons of light,” and Cow 2:l77,2l5,etc. "The son of the road," the wayfarer or traveler. The Bible and the Qur'an also use symbolic expressions when they speak about God, as in II Chronicles 16:9 "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth," Ya Seen 36:83 "Glory be to Him, in Whose hand is the dominion of everything," and Ta Ha 20:4 "The All-compassionate sat Himself upon the throne," even though God has no body and does not stand or sit. In like manner, Christ was
called "The Son of Man."
(3) SPIRITUAL SONSHIP, as in John 3:6 above, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit." and Women 4:169 “The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only the Messenger of God, and His Word that He committed to Mary, and a Spirit from Him.” This is the real sonship of Christ. As He is from God's Spirit, He is God's spiritual Son. God is Spirit and the one who is born of the Spirit is also Spirit. And though Christ is the son of Mary in His humanity, He is even without sin in His human body, as it is written in Hebrews 4:15 "But One (Christ) Who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin."
We read in the:
QUR'AN Prophets 2 1:91 "But she (Mary) who guarded her virginity, so We breathed into her of Our Spirit and appointed her and her son to be a sign unto all beings."
Table 5:110 "When I (God) confirmed you (Jesus) with the Holy Spirit, to speak to men in the cradle and of age."
Cow 2:253 “Those Messengers, some We have preferred above others...some He raised in rank. And We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear signs, and confirmed him with the Holy Spirit.”
Ant 27:8,9 “So when he (Moses) came to it, he was called, ‘Blessed is He Who is in the fire and he who is about. it. Glory be to God, the Lord of all being. Moses, Behold, it is I, God, the All-mighty, the All-wise.’ ”
TORAH Daniel 3:25 "The form of the fourth is. like the Son of.God."
Proverbs 30:4 "Who has ascended to heaven and come down?... What is his name; and what is His son’s name?"
ZABUR Psalm 2:7,8 “He said to me, ‘You are My son...Ask of Me and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.’ ”
INJEEL Matthew 3:17, Mark 1:11, Luke 3:22 After His baptism, Christ went up out of the water, “And lo, a voice from heaven, saying, ‘This is My beloved Son, with Whom I am well pleased.’ ”
Romans 1:3,4 "Jesus Christ our Lord, who was descended from David according to the flesh and designated Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by His resurrection from the dead."
CHRIST’S DEATH AND RESURRECTION
Cow 2:81 “We gave Moses the Book and We gave Jesus son of Mary the clear sign, and confirmed him with the Holy Spirit, and whenever there came to you a Messenger with that your souls had not desired for, did you become arrogant, and some cry lies to (Moses and Old Testament prophets), and some slay (Jesus and New Testament prophets).”
Table 5:120 Christ said to God, "1 was a witness over them (the people) while I remained among them; but when You made me die, You Yourself were the watcher over then."
Mary 19:33,34 “ ‘Peace be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I am raised up alive.’ That is Jesus, son of Mary, the Word of Truth concerning which they are doubting.”
House of Imran 3:55 “When God said, ‘Jesus, I will make you die and will raise you to me, and I will purify you of those who believe not. I will set your followers above the unbelievers till the resurrection day.’ ”
NOTE:. Anyone who intelligently reads the above four Qur'anic assertions about the Death, Resurrection and Ascension of Christ will find the long, post-Muhammadan controversy about these events irrelevant. Those looking for disagreement have based their argument on Women 4:157 “They (The Jews) did not slay him, neither crucified him...not of a certainty - no indeed.” But to an unbiased reader this confirms, and does not deny these four passages. It does not say that Christ was not slain or crucified but that the Jews did not do this themselves. In this point the Gospel is in-complete agreement.
There are several reasons for this:
(1) Had the Jews themselves killed Christ they would have done so by stoning, but this would have made a martyr of him - among many others. They successfully provoked the Romans, who were the masters of Palestine at that time, to kill him, using the current Roman means of execution, i.e. crucifixion. Thereby Christ crucified became cursed according to Jewish law which said, "For he that is hanged is accursed of God" (Deuteronomy 21:23), far from being "Christ the Son of the Blessed" (Mark 14:61) as he said. he was.
(2) Had God wished to protect Christ it would have been simple. But He permitted it to happen. A similar situation is found in the Qur'anic passage of Spoils 8:17 which says (referring to the Muslim victory at Badr) "You did not slay them, but God slew them." God permitted Christ's death at the hands of the Roman soldiers in order to ransom humanity with a "mighty sacrifice" (Rangers 37:107). Not with a ram or a camel as some commentators have said, or even with five hundred beasts., according to others, but with the Word of God Himself, and His Eternal Spirit.
Christ dead and properly buried in a sealed tomb gave the Jewish leaders a feeling of relief. They had finally freed themselves from the criticism of their own hypocrisy, double-faced living, and exploitation of the simple people. But it was only a short-lived hope! “The All-mighty, All-wise God has raised him up.” (Women 4:158). God nullified their plans for getting rid of him. He defeated their plot.

THIS HAND HAS NEVER FAILED ANYONE
A man wanted to climb Mount Everest, the highest mountain of the Himalayas. He brought all the necessary equipment and hired a seasoned guide to show him the way. As they started, conditions were perfect. After a light lunch, they started off again, but found that what had been easy and encouraging was fast becoming something far different. The small path they had followed had disappeared, and rugged peaks loomed everywhere. Suddenly they came to a deep gorge and were unable to continue their climb. After a moment's contemplation the guide approached the edge and examined it. He found a sturdy rock, and after testing it, jumped from it to the other side. The man wanted to follow him, but every time he got ready, his fear of falling to certain death kept him from jumping. Seeing his hesitation the guide tied himself to a rock, planted his feet firmly, and stretched his arm back toward the man. He told him to grasp his hand and use it as a support by which he could jump the gorge. Unsure and fearful, the man still hesitated. The guide looked him right in the eyed and said, Sir, this hand has helped many climbers across this very passage, and it hasn't failed a single one. Trust in it and cross!" The climber did as he was bidden, and was soon on the other side, safe and full of joy that he was now on the way to the desired summit.
What about you, dear reader? You are on the path toward a very high summit, leading you to the peace of God and His eternal life. Are you refusing or hesitating to trust yourself to His divine hand to help you? Trust in that hand, wounded for you on the cross, and let Him save you!

Before closing this booklet with YOUR PERSONAL DECISION and some IMPORTANT FINAL RECOMMENDATIONS, we suggest that you study with great care the following two decisive subjects: (1) Was there a substitute for Christ on the cross? and (2) Is the Bible (Towrah, Zabur and Injeel) corrupted?
I. WAS THERE A SUBSTITUTE FOR CHRIST ON THE CROSS?
Some post-Muhammad interpreters taught that the famous passage in Women 4:157 "They did not slay him, neither crucified him; only a likeness of that was shown to them," meant that Christ was not crucified but that someone else miraculously replaced him. But if the cod- text is studied, we can see that the subject of the sentence is the Jews, and indeed the Jews did not crucify him. The views of these commentator involve, nevertheless, the following contradictions:
It is difficult to reconcile this part of the text with what follows In verse 158 "God raised him up to Him." Why should God raise Him up If He were not dead?
It is difficult to reconcile this interpretation with the other Qur'anic passages listed on page 18 of this booklet, i.e. Cow 2:87, House of lnran 3:55, Table 5:120, and Mary 19:33,34
Many other Qur.'anic passages will also become impossible to be reconciled, let alone the statements of the Towrah, Zabur and Injeel. (E.g. Spider 29:46 "Dispute not with the people of the Book save in the fairer manner, and say 'We believe in what has been sent down to us, and what has been Bent down to you; our God and your God is One and to Him we have surrendered ,'' Cow 2:136 "Say you, 'We believe In God, and in what has been sent down to us and sent down on Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and the tribes and that which was given to Moses and Jesus and the Prophets, of their Iord; we make no division between any of them, and to Him we surrender,'" and Poets 26:192-197 "Truly it (the Qur'an) is the revelation of the
Lord of all beings, brought down by the faithful Spirit upon thy heart (O Muhammad),, that you may be one of the warners, in a clear Arabic tongue. Truly It is in the Scriptures of the ancients. Was it not a sign for them that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel?")
Other ancient and respected Muslim commentators and writers of Hadith disagree. Such as Az Zamakhshari, Ar Razi, Ibn Abbas, Wahab, Muhammad Ibn Ishaak and others say that Christ remained dead for some three to seven hours before being raised to heaven by God. The story of a substitute on the Cross cannot 'be true for the following reasons:
a) At least ten different people have been proposed as the substitute, from Christ's best friends to his worst enemies, or completely neutral persons.
b) It is inconceivable that God the Wise and Almighty should adopt such a miracle of falsity in order to deceive the Jews (and everyone else!) and let them cause the wrong person to be killed.
c) In Cow 2:253 and several other places we read that God confirmed Christ with the Holy Spirit." Was lie unable to confirm and protect Him to the end?
d) The Qur'an indicates that Christ was able to resurrect the dead. Was lie unable to protect His own life?
e) As God was able to raise Christ from the grave, what was the benefit of killing an innocent substitute in His place?
f) Could not this substitute make an effort to defend himself, to declare he was not the Christ? Surely something would, have been heard of this if it had occurred!
g) Those who were most devoted to Christ and loved and respected him most-reported nevertheless that, they had seen him suffer the death of a criminal at the hands of the. Roman solders. Surely they, of all people, would have preferred that He should have finished His life in a manner they would think suitable for a prophet, by direct removal to heaven. But they did not. They reported what they saw happen.
Returning to Women 4:157 "Only a likeness of that was shown to them"; surely the true interpretation does not need. the introduction of a substitute at all. It means that it looked as though the Jews had succeeded, as if their plot had been accomplished, and that they had, as they intended, gotten the Romans to do the dirty work for them, which they were unwilling or unable to do for themselves But the appearance of success was short-lived God had plans beyond their imagination - He raised Christ from the dead with all the inconceivable consequences for all sinful men everywhere: Jews, Christians and Romans too!
II. IS THE BIBLE (Towrah, Zabur and Injeel) CORRUPTED?
The. same. post-Muhammadan interpreters of the Qur'an who falsely taught that Christ was substituted on the cross found that the Bible opposed their unfounded claims very bluntly. Instead of revising their views In light of true facts and known ways of interpretation, as real scholars usually do, they preferred to resort •to a defamatory campaign against the Holy Book, saying that it was corrupted Let us see what Muhammad and the Qur'an say about this matter:
1 Some quotations from the Qur'an about the Towrah (The Old Testament):
Cow 2:82 We gave to Moses the Book, and after him sent succeeding Messengers
The Kneeling 45:16 “Indeed, We gave the Children of Israel - the Book, -the Judgment, and the Prophethood, and We provided them with good things, and We preferred them above all beings”
Adoration 32:23,24 "Indeed We gage Moses the Book, so he was not in doubt concerning the encounter with him; and We appointed it for a guidance to the Children of Israel. And We appointed from among. them leaders guiding by Our command, when they endured patently and had sure faith in our signs.”
Women 4:56 "We gave the people of Abraham the Book and the Wisdom and We gave them a mighty Kingdom."
The Believers 40:56 "We also gave Moses the Guidance (Al Huda) and We bequeathed upon the Children of Israel the Book for a guidance and for a reminder to men possessed of minds."
2. What the Qur'an says about the Zabur (The Psalms):
Women 4:162 "And We gave to David Psalms."
Prophets 21:105 “We have written in the Psalms after the Remembrance, ‘The earth shall be the inheritance of My righteous servants.’ ”
3. Some quotations from the Qur'an about the Injeel (New Testament):
Iron 57:27 "And We sent, following, Jesus son of Mary, and gave unto him the Gospel. And e set in the hearts of those who followed him tenderness and mercy, and monasticism they invented - We did not prescribe it for them- only seeking the good pleasure of God."
The Table 5:50 "And We sent, following in their footsteps, Jesus son of Mary, confirming the Towrah before him, and We gave to him the Gospel, wherein is guidance and light, and confirming the Towrah before: it, as a guidance and admonition unto -the god-fearing."
Ornaments 43:63 "And when Jesus cane with the clear signs, he said, 'I have come to you with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you some of that whereon you are at variance; so fear God and obey you me.'"
4. The Qur'an in comparison with the Old and New Testaments and the Psalms (Towrah, Zabur and Injeel):
Poets 26:192-199 "Truly it (The Qur'an) is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, brought down by the Faithful. Spirit upon your heart (O Muhammad), that you may be one of the warners in a clear Arabic tongue. Truly it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. Was it not a sign for them that It is known to the learned of the Children of. Israel? If We had sent it down on a barbarian and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it."
Jonah 10:93 "So if you are in doubt regarding what We have sent down to you, ask those who recite the Book before you. The truth has come to you from your Lord; so be not of the doubters.
5. The Qur'an confirming and assuring the Old and New Testaments and the Psalms (Towrah, Zabur, and Injeel)
Cattle 6:92 “This is a Book (The Qur'an) We have sent down, blessed and confirming that which was before it."
The Table 5:52 "We have sent down to you the Book with the truth, confirming the Book •that was before it (literally, confirming what was before it of the Book) and assuring it.
Jonah 10:38 This Qur'an could not have been forged apart from God, but it is a confirmation of what Is before it, and a distinguishing of the Book, wherein is no doubt, from the Lord of all Being."
The Angels 35:39 "And that We have revealed to you of the Book is the truth, confirming what is before it."
Joseph 12:111 "It (what the Qur'an relates) is not a tale forged, but a confirmation of what is before it."
6. The Qur'an in the eyes of Muhammad's contemporaneous Jews and Christians:
Cow 2:85 "And when they (Jews and Christians) were told, 'Believe in that God has sent down,' they said, 'We believed in what was sent down on us and they disbelieved in what is beyond that, yet it is the truth confirming what is with them.”
Cow 2:96 "When there has come to them a Messenger from God confirming what was with them, a party of them that were given the Book rejected the Book of God behind their backs, as though they knew not."
Cow 2:84 "When there came to them a Book from God, confirming what was with them … they disbelieved in it."
Cow 2:38,39 "Children of Israel, remember My blessing with which I blessed you, and fulfill My covenant and I shall fulfill your covenant...And believe in that I have sent down, confirming that which is with you, and be not the first to disbelieve it."
7. In spite of this, Muhammad, with his usual fairness, says that 'those who follow the teaching of their respective Book do not, need anything else. They will certainly be accepted by Gods:
Table 5:47,48 Yet how will they (The Jews) make you (O Muhammad) their judge, seeing they have the Towrah wherein is God's judgment? …Surely we sent down the Towrah, wherein is guidance and light, thereby the Prophets who had surrendered themselves gave judgment for those of Jewry, as did the Masters and the rabbis, following such portion, of God's Book as they were given to keep and were witness to. So fear not men but fear you Me; and sell not My signs for a little price, Whoso judges not according to what God his sent down - they are the unbelievers."
Table 5:51 “So let the People of the Gospel judge according to what God has sent down therein Whoever judges not according to what God, has sent down they are the ungodly."
Table 5:73 “Surely they that believe, and those of Jewry , and the Sabeans, and those Christians whoever believes in God and the Last Day, and works righteousness - no fear shall be upon them, neither shall they sorrow.”
House of Imran 3:109,110 Some of the People of the Book are a nation upstanding, that recite God's signs in the watches of the night, bowing themselves, believing in God and in the Last Day bidding to honor and forbidding dishonor, vying with one another in good works, these are the righteous."
Table 5:85,86 "And you will surely find the nearest of them in love to the believers are those who say 'We are Christians,' that, because some of them are priests and monbks, and they wax not proud, and when they hear what has been sent down to the Messenger, you see their eyes overflow with tears because of the truth they recognize."
8. Muhammad and the Qur'an also say that nobody can be a good Muslim unless he puts into practice the teachings of the Tozrah, the Zabur and the Injeel:
Women 4:135 "0 believers, believe in God and His Messenger and the Book He has sent down on His Messenger, and the Book which He sent down before Whoso disbelieves in God and His angels and His Books and His Messengers, and the Last Day, has surely gone astray into far error." '
House of Imran 3:78 "Say, 'We believe in God, and that which has been sent down onus, and sent down on Abraham and Ishmael, Isaac and Jacob, and the Tribes, and that which was given to Moses and Jesus, and the Prophets, of their Lord; We make no division between any of them, and to Him we surrender.'"
Cow 2:130 "Say you, 'We believe in God, and in that which. has been sent down on us and sent down on Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac and Jacob, and the Tribes, and that which was given to Moses and Jesus and the Prophets of their Lord; We make no division between any of 'them,, and to Him we surrender.'"
Cow 2:285 "The Messenger believes in what was, sent down from his Lord, and the believers; each one believes in God and His angels, 'and His Books and His Messengers; We make no division between any one of His Messengers.”
Spider 29:45 Dispute not with the People of the Book save in the fairer manner, except for those of them that do wrong; and say, 'We believe in what has been sent down to us, and what has been sent down to you; our God and your God is One, and to Him we have surrendered.'"
Table 5:72 "Say, 'People of the Book, you do not stand on anything, until you perform the Towrah and the Gospel, and what was sent down to you from your Lord
Anyone who will intelligently read the above verses (and scores of others similar to them contained in the Qur'an) will immediately see that Muhammad was sure that the Towrah, Zabur, and Injeel, which form the Bible, were not at all corrupted before or during his time. Otherwise
he would not have written about their genuineness in the way he did This makes anyone who is in contradiction to him a very poor Jew, Christian, or Muslim. Consequently, there is only one other argument that may still seem to be debatable. It is that of the Bible having been corrupted after Muhammad's death in the seventh century AD. So let us examine and see if such a thing may have been possible and could, consequently,
have happened.
Long before Muhammad's days and until ours, the Jews were divided into several political and religious parties in continual strife with each other over many spiritual, and temporal issues. From its early inception, Christianity, likewise, grouped itself into innumerable sects in contradiction and strife with each other over a great number of issues concerning matters of this life and the hereafter. Muhammad himself has written, time after time about these dangerous divisions. The following verse, chosen from scores of others, will illustrate what I want to say:
Cow 2:253 "Had God willed, those who came after him (Christ) would not have fought one against the other after the clear sign had come to them; but they fell Into variance, and some of them believed, and some disbelieved.”
We know also that the Towrah and the Zabur existed before Christ's time in Hebrew, Greek and partly in Aramaic. Further, we know that before Muhammad's time, the complete Bible or a great part of it existed in these additional languages: Syriac, Coptic, Latin, Armenian, Gothic, etc.
To say that the Bible was corrupted after Muhammad's time is to entail that:
1 representatives of all the various Jewish and Christian parties and sects, from seven or eight different nations and languages, who were fighting with each other over great and vital issues, have suddenly become friends.
2 they have thus arranged a huge conference in which they have worked out corrupted Bibles to replace all those in existence in the world.
3 they have destroyed the original ones and have been able to convince everyone who had a Bible in any of the mentioned languages to change his Book for a modern, corrupted one.
If anyone still persists in this most fantastic and childish idea, we shall ask him to kindly supply us from the books of history the dates of this imaginary conference, the location, the participants, and their resolutions. History has kept a faithful record about events much less important than this long before Muhammad's birth. So how much more details we should find about such a vital subject, supposed to have taken place only in the last fourteen centuries!
We also think that Muhammad has foreseen such fallacies when he wrote:
Jonah 10:64 “There is no changing the words of God, that is the mighty triumph.”
Cattle 6:34 “No man can change the words of God.”
Angels 35:43 You shall never find any changing the wont of God, and you shall never find any altering the wont of God
